St. Thomas Fellowship

Fellowship is a deep spiritual bond and shared life connecting believers with Christ and each other, extending beyond simple social gatherings to include mutual support, shared worship, prayer, and working together for the Church's mission of unity with God and others.

St. Thomas boasts a close spiritual family that builds faith through shared activities. We host weekly and monthly activities that allow congregants to socialize, learn, pray, and become involved in both the church and local communities.

Here are some of the activities that St. Thomas has to offer:

Birthday Luncheons

Each month we gather at a different local restaurant to celebrate the month's birthdays. Gifts are not required, and we always have birthday cake!

Special Events

St. Thomas hosts events that bring together not only its congregation members, but the entire Oriental community. Guest lectures, musical performances, and community dinners, just to mention a few. We open our doors and our hearts to all!

Potluck Suppers

St. Thomas Parish is home to some of the greatest cooks on the Eastern Seaboard and on the first Wednesday of each month our potluck suppers showcase delicious food and friendly people.

Pizza and a Movie Night

Several times a year we gather in Parish Hall to watch a film and enjoy delicious pizza from The Silos, a local restaurant. Everyone is welcome, and who doesn't love pizza?

Parties in Parish Hall

St. Thomas parishioners love a good party, and several times a year you will find us hosting gatherings to watch sports games (Super Bowl, Army-Navy), celebrate the end of a hurricane-less hurricane season, or enjoy delicious pancakes (Fat Tuesday). We even hosted a Walking Taco party and a gathering where a variety of tasty quiches were the guests of honor!

Food Drives

St. Thomas is well known for its exceptional support of our local food charity, Pamlico County Fishes & Loaves (PCFLO). We participate in PCFLO's Food of the Month campaign and each month we transport food donated by local markets to their facility in Oriental. Our parishioners work together to provide for those in need, and we do it all year round.
